2011! New year - new exciting projects!

Hi all,

First post of this year! I am pleased to say I have been sticking to my new years resolutions so far! Well, the past 2 weeks anyway. I'm trying to get fitter/healthier and lose a few pound which crept up on me. Doing okay at the moment but reallllyyyy missing Chinese food and vodka! I aim to keep going until March then I'll probably un-do all my hard work ha... Started swimming, kettle bell sessions at my home gym. Really missing Taekwondo at the moment - looking forward to going back soon as I sort out my diary. I'm not on a diet as such but have completely cut out junk food - this is hard as I literally live off it. (Bad bad bad personal trainer!)

Right so back to work! January - pretty much instantly fully booked! I thought it was going to be a quiet month after Christmas but I was wrong - not complaining though of course. Also managed to squeeze in a hotel shoot. I thought it'd make a nice change for you ladies and add something special to your portfolios or even just for a Valentine's treat. I'm going to make the hotel shoot a regular thing and the next one will be in March so let me know if you want to be notified when I start taking bookings. I've also started doing Girly Pre-Night Out type shoots. Had a few bookings for this already so they should be fun! Some example images can be found in this album:

 I've been speaking with a few magazines and a couple have been interested in a regular girly feature from April onwards which is awesome! Shall tell you more when I hear it. I don't like to give too much away until things are confirmed or they usually end up not happening.

My competition

Again I won't be giving away too much on this just yet but I'm launching a national competition. It is open to ANYONE - no height restrictions, weight etc none of that nonsense! The prizes are amazing:

Representation with a top UK glamour agency

Lad's mag shoot

£200 cash

Make-up

Portfolio shoot

and more prizes will be announced as the competition goes on.

The final will be in London and will judged by the managing director of the agency, a top glamour girl, the lad's magazine on board and myself.

I used to do a bit of modelling myself and I know how hard it is to get yourself out there or even know where to start so I'm all for helping girls (especially local) and giving opportunities. Believe me - this is a massive one. I am also in talks of filming the finals for a TV channel. KEEP CHECKING BACK!!!

One of my favourite shoots of this month was with a model I LOVE working with - Martinne Sykora - we also got on board her friend Sophie Jones who is amazing at hair and make-up. I love the pictures and think the 3 of us did a good job.

Another shoot I enjoyed was with a model called Jessica Feegan. She came from London to do a submission set for FRONT Magazine.

Happy New Year everybody. I have some new year resolutions - not sure how long they're gonna last mind:

1) More shoots!!
2) Promote my work further
3) Work around London/UK
4) Stop troffing Chinese 3 nights a week
5) Gym
6) Work hard at Taekwondo training

I have some BIG announcements soon but I can't say anything yet which is really frustrating. I need to confirm things/organise etc but seriously keep checking back for my big announcement - I'm pretty sure you'll want to get involved!

Final blog of 2010 Merry Christmas all!!

Hey everyone. Can't believe it's Christmas eve already - 2nd half of this year has gone SO fast. Just wanna say a big thank you to everyone I have worked with the last few months - it's been so much fun and I've been thankful for all the support I've received.

I have some BIG plans for next year. I am in the middle of finalising a lot of it but I will announce all in January. Other projects include some lad's mags shoots, castings, lots of promotional work, traveling up and down the UK and much more. Keep checking my Hour Glass Facebook fan page to be the first to hear.

I will also be launching a mini range of Hour Glass clothing mainly just tops to start off so look out for that too!

Casting, France, image update

Hi all,

E-flyer casting has gone pretty well. It's particularly nice to have ALL types of girls apply. £20 isn't really committing too much and gives girls a chance to try out a photoshoot - plus getting 2 fully retouched images out of it - bargain! At present, there are about 2 slots left due to lack of time and other work commitments.

Recently been in contact with a well known top glamour photographer! We are in talks of me going out to France next year to gain some location/beach glamour experience. It's something I'm DEFINITELY going to do and I'm hoping it's gonna lead to more trips shooting abroad if all goes well. Got a few months in 2011 to gain some location shooting experience - so if any one wants to shoot at Barry Island get in contact!! Jokez. Anyway, check out his blog here - his work is AMAZING:

Started as a very busy week and got loads more shoots up until Saturday. These include:

Decided to hit Town/night clubs with some double sided flyers and so got one designed. I'm not too sure I have enough time to be hanging around Town most days chatting to people and handing out flyers so gonna be selecting some promotional models and paying them to do it. They will also receive some lovely commission if they do well!

Shooting for laid.co.uk magazine

Very excited. I contacted Jack Knowles - owner of online lad's mag laid.co.uk and I am now doing a shoot for the mag. I've decided it's gonna be a feature on dating and will include a lovely display of sexy images with an interview about dating. The model will answer the questions.

Had LOADS of interest and applications for the shoot as I put a casting call on Facebook and Model Mayhem. The girl chosen is stunning glamour girl Amanda Lee. Beautiful face and amazing figure so she's gonna be just perfect. The shoot will be taking place next week so be sure to check back to see the pictures.

I am also shooting for Candi Coutoure Clothing range - again I have put out a casting call for this. I need 5 girls to model the clothes - I've got 3 suitable so far.
