HourGlass: 2011

Hi all,

First post of this year! I am pleased to say I have been sticking to my new years resolutions so far! Well, the past 2 weeks anyway. I'm trying to get fitter/healthier and lose a few pound which crept up on me. Doing okay at the moment but reallllyyyy missing Chinese food and vodka! I aim to keep going until March then I'll probably un-do all my hard work ha... Started swimming, kettle bell sessions at my home gym. Really missing Taekwondo at the moment - looking forward to going back soon as I sort out my diary. I'm not on a diet as such but have completely cut out junk food - this is hard as I literally live off it. (Bad bad bad personal trainer!)

Right so back to work! January - pretty much instantly fully booked! I thought it was going to be a quiet month after Christmas but I was wrong - not complaining though of course. Also managed to squeeze in a hotel shoot. I thought it'd make a nice change for you ladies and add something special to your portfolios or even just for a Valentine's treat. I'm going to make the hotel shoot a regular thing and the next one will be in March so let me know if you want to be notified when I start taking bookings. I've also started doing Girly Pre-Night Out type shoots. Had a few bookings for this already so they should be fun! Some example images can be found in this album:

I've been speaking with a few magazines and a couple have been interested in a regular girly feature from April onwards which is awesome! Shall tell you more when I hear it. I don't like to give too much away until things are confirmed or they usually end up not happening.

My competition

Again I won't be giving away too much on this just yet but I'm launching a national competition. It is open to ANYONE - no height restrictions, weight etc none of that nonsense! The prizes are amazing:

Representation with a top UK glamour agency

Lad's mag shoot

£200 cash

Make-up

Portfolio shoot

and more prizes will be announced as the competition goes on.

The final will be in London and will judged by the managing director of the agency, a top glamour girl, the lad's magazine on board and myself.

I used to do a bit of modelling myself and I know how hard it is to get yourself out there or even know where to start so I'm all for helping girls (especially local) and giving opportunities. Believe me - this is a massive one. I am also in talks of filming the finals for a TV channel. KEEP CHECKING BACK!!!

One of my favourite shoots of this month was with a model I LOVE working with - Martinne Sykora - we also got on board her friend Sophie Jones who is amazing at hair and make-up. I love the pictures and think the 3 of us did a good job.

Another shoot I enjoyed was with a model called Jessica Feegan. She came from London to do a submission set for FRONT Magazine.
